Trying out one of the longest flights in the United route network, UA9, which operates Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays (4x/week). Up until 3 days before departure, the aircraft was supposed to be a 787-8, but as a nice surprise, it was up-gauged to a 787-9, so I was able to grab 6A, which is the bulkhead seat in the business class mini-cabin. However, we ended up departing late because the aircraft that was at our assigned gate before us took a maintenance delay, and then we took a maintenance delay as seat 5L needed to be repaired as there would be no ability to do so in Chengdu.
