TIVERTON Pannier Market had its busiest day in a decade at the weekend as food lovers flocked into the town to sample some of the region's finest fare.
Visitors could watch cookery demonstrations in a special cookery theatre area, while chowing down on Caribbean curry. Rare breed meats, local cheeses, and wood smoked delicacies were all served up during the Tiverton Food and Drink Festival held in the market on Sunday. There was also a chance to get creative for youngsters who decorated their own cup cakes.
Around 3,000 people were estimated to have attended the market between 10am-4pm, making for busiest day at the town centre building since it underwent and extensive refurbishment.
