Lnvb Pays Off Veteran'S Student Loan For The New Year

To welcome in the New Year, Leave No Veteran Behind has paid off $18,716.15 in outstanding student loans for Joleen Parks of Fayetteville, NC as a beneficiary of Leave No Veteran Behind's Retroactive Debt Relief Scholarship program for military Veterans. Leave No Veteran Behind is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and is the only organization working to address the issue of Veteran student debt in America. Since 2010, Leave No Veteran Behind has paid off the student loans of 9 former servicemembers, totaling more than $115,000 due to the generous support of individuals and philanthropic organizations, including the Veterans United Foundation. SSG Joleen Parks is a Veteran of the Iraq War and has served as a paratrooper with the United States Army Special Operations Command. Joleen Parks is in the process of receiving a medical retirement due to injuries sustained in training. Joleen Parks is also expecting a newborn baby in the months ahead as she transitions out of the military. All Veterans must meet the following criteria to apply to Leave No Veteran Behind's Retroactive Debt Relief Scholarship: Served Honorably in the United States military Completed some form of higher education 3. Faced an economic hardship 4. Was not covered by existing military education programs, the GI Bill, because of policy loopholes; 5.
