Horses Help Teach Bedside Manner To Med Students

Dr. Allan Hamilton, a professor of surgery at the UA, also is a talented horse trainer and owns the Rancho Bosque Equine Center. Realizing the important role non-verbal communication plays when training and interacting with horses, Hamilton developed the world's first program for medical students and professionals using equine-facilitated resources to improve their bedside manner for human patients.
