Fostina Dixon is a composer, vocalist and jazz soloist who plays saxophone, flute and clarinet. Her more than 30-year professional career has included touring with Marvin Gaye and playing with such artists as Gil Evans, Roy Ayers, Cab Calloway, Nancy Wilson, Bobby Vinton, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Prince. Dixon has taught music in New York, Los Angeles and Wilmington and is Executive Director of the Wilmington Youth Jazz Band. She is a 2012 Division of the Arts Fellow in Jazz.
